Overview of Role

As the HVAC Repair Team Lead, you will oversee a small team of technicians while performing advanced diagnostic, maintenance, and repair tasks on water chillers for cold plunge tubs. Your role is critical in ensuring equipment efficiency, safety compliance, and the smooth operation of our state-of-the-art plunge systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Team Leadership & Training:
  • Lead a team of technicians by delegating tasks, monitoring performance, and ensuring adherence to company standards.
  • Train team members in chiller diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repair techniques.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
• Chiller Maintenance & Repair:
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting, routine maintenance, and repairs on air-cooled water chillers, ensuring equipment operates at peak performance.
  • Supervise team diagnostics related to refrigerant levels, compressors, heat exchangers, and control systems.
• System Diagnostics & Installation:
  • Oversee diagnostics for complex malfunctions using appropriate testing equipment.
  • Assist in the refurbishment and testing of chiller systems, including reclaiming refrigerants and brazing copper connections as required.
• Documentation:
  • Ensure accurate records of all team maintenance and repair activities, including work orders and service reports.
• Safety & Compliance:
  • Enforce compliance with all safety protocols and local regulations while servicing equipment.
  • Develop and monitor adherence to safety best practices for the team.

Our Ideal Candidate

• Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational training or HVAC certification preferred.
• Experience:
  • Minimum of 3+ years in HVAC systems, with a strong focus on chiller systems.
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience in a technical field is highly desirable.
• Certifications:
  • EPA Universal Refrigerant Certification required.
  • Advanced certifications in HVAC and refrigeration are a plus.
• Technical Skills:
  • Expertise in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Proficiency with HVAC tools, equipment, and chiller system components.
• Leadership Attributes:
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and multitasking skills.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication to convey technical information effectively to both team members and non-technical stakeholders.
