Receptionist at George Junior Republic – Grove City, Pennsylvania

Summary of the position: The Dispatch and Communication Operator operates the phone system, direct visitors, answering questions for various constituents, and organize and distribute mail. This position is for the midnight shift (12:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m.).

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Operate the main phone system and communications station and direct incoming calls to the appropriate location.
2. Greet and direct visitors
3. Serve as mail room attendant, manage mail incoming and exiting
4. Use communications tools to assist in the management of campus safety and security
5. Operate FM band radio to direct Campus Supervisors to emergencies or tasks that require their attention
6. Complete required documentation

Required to sit for long periods of time

Work Location: This position works in the foyer of the administrative building.

Requirements:

1. High School Diploma or GED
2. Must be able to work a non-traditional schedule, including midnight shifts.
3. Basic computer knowledge
4. Must be organized and have good communication skills
