Our physicians and staff work together to ensure that patients receive complete orthopedic care for problems of the bones, joints and muscles. SOI physicians are board certified in Orthopedics and Sports Medicine. The team is composed of a Shoulder Specialist, Hand Specialist , Foot and Ankle Specialist, and two Physicians with 55 combined years of Hip and Knee Procedures. SOI Physicians are known regionally and throughout the world as leaders in their fields. They lecture frequently, train others and develop new surgical techniques and many of the breakthrough hardware used in today’s surgeries.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Orthopedic X-Ray Technologist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing high-quality diagnostic imaging procedures, specifically focused on the musculoskeletal system.

Responsibilities
  • Operate X-ray equipment to capture images of bones, joints, and related structures for the diagnosis and treatment of orthopedic conditions.
  • Position patients correctly to ensure clear and accurate images are obtained.
  • Collaborate with orthopedic physicians and other healthcare professionals to understand the specific imaging needs for each patient.
  • Maintain detailed records of all imaging procedures and patient information.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and radiation protection guidelines to ensure the well-being of patients and staff.
  • Perform quality control checks on imaging equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of new imaging protocols and techniques.
  • Continuously update your knowledge and skills through ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications
  • Associate's degree or certification in Radiologic Technology or a related field.
  • Minimum of 1 years of experience as an X-Ray Technologist preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and the principles of radiation safety.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills to ensure accurate and efficient imaging procedures.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
