About This Position
Tax Management Associates (TMA) is seeking a highly motivated, professional, and positive team player to join our Administrative Outsourcing team in Lawrenceville, Georgia as a Personal Property Account Manager. This is a full-time, onsite position working with our local government client, the Gwinnett County Tax Assessor’s Office in the Personal Property Division.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assign values to business equipment/inventory, aircraft, and boats according to Georgia Code by processing annual returns and/or benchmarking.
- Compile and maintain the annual personal property digest by identifying and cataloging new accounts through online research and/or on-site visits.
- Process and defend appeals of valuation, including attending Board of Equalization hearings.
- Respond to inquiries via email, telephone, and in person, resolving complaints/issues and correcting valuation errors.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date information in the database to ensure data integrity and compliance.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in Personal Property appraisal practices and techniques is preferred.
- Georgia Appraisal certification is highly desired but not mandatory.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, particularly Excel, is highly beneficial.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task in a deadline-driven environment.
