Summary/Objective

The IBM iSeries Analyst / Developer is engaged in technology solutions including functional design, development, testing, and user interaction required to meet the client's requirements. The role will require critical thinking skills including technical review as well as interaction with client team members to determine source of issues and resolutions. Technical skills will be primarily focus on the IBM iSeries but will extend to other technologies for interface and interaction.

This is a client facing role requiring excellent relationship management and communication skills as well as technical skills. The IBM iSeries Analyst / Developer is responsible for the following Focus Areas:

• Functioning in a perform role – Solution Functional and Technical Design, Development, Testing, and Deployment.
• Functioning in a consultative role providing guidance and assistance as requested to fellow team members.
• Function is a perform role for Client Support.

• Excellent analytical, verbal, written, and overall communication skills.
• Ability to openly communicate to engagement management and / or senior leadership the good news as well as challenges that we can face within projects.
• Contribute to an energizing work environment which maintains a highly engaged team.
• Provide technical expertise in:
• Excellent iSeries RPG ILE & CLLE development skills
• Strong ability to debug, analyze and communicate issues and suggested resolutions.
• Strong iSeries DB2 SQL skills
• REST web services functioning on the iSeries using JSON
• Query/400
• Ability to work with the IFS
• Knowledge of how to use the following in the iSeries environment (beneficial)
• Rocket Software (LMI)
• FTP / sFTP
• Advanced Job Scheduler for IBM i
• QShell commands / scripting
• Apache webserver configuration

Required Education and Experience

• Minimum 5 years of IBM iSeries development, design, and functional support experience
• Base knowledge of overall IBM iSeries technology stack
• Proven ability to develop and implement high-quality software solutions.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

Remote work at least 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday 8:00AM until 5:00PM Eastern Standard Time.

Night Hours maybe required on a rotational basis to provide client support on Priority One Support instances.

Occasional travel to overall corporate events and client sites may be required.
