Food Runner at Amelia Island Equity Club Inc – Amelia Island, Florida

ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Assist in carrying food to tables on tray and/or by hand by course in front of each person
• Sets up the expo station
• Sets up the salad station and replenishes dressings
• Informs the BOH of low stock items that need re-ordering (dressings, salsa, guacamole, fruit)
• Breaks down the Expo line at the end of the shift
• Restocks underline plates and doilies
• Wipes down all trays pre, during and post shift
• Assists in calling tickets during slow times
• May assist banquet personnel in setting up, serving and cleaning up after banquet functions
• Help to maintain fully stocked buffet
• Other duties as assigned

• Experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified
• Demonstrated polished, professional appearance and presentation
• Demonstrated organization and coordination skills and ability to meet deadlines and ability to multi-task in a sporadic, fast-paced environment
• Ability to maintain quality and safety standards
• Strong reasoning ability and critical thinking skills
• Demonstrated strong oral and written communication skills to a wide variety of constituents
• Excellent interpersonal/relationship-building skills
• Proven record of providing excellent internal and external customer service

Physical Demands and Work Environment

· Must be able to stand, walk, squat, kneel, reach, bend, twist, crawl, climb, clean, and lift up to 40 pounds

· Must be able to handle hot and cold interior and exterior conditions and exposure to dust, fumes and gases

· Must be able to work in close proximity to moving machinery
