Job Description

Green Ridge Solar is seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Permitting Specialist to join our growing team. As a key point of for our operations team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient progression of solar projects through our permitting pipeline. This position requires a proactive, detail-oriented individual with a strong understanding of construction permitting, preferably within the solar industry.

  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.
  • Positive, adaptable, and solution-oriented attitude.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and PDF editing software.
  • Solid understanding of construction permitting processes and regulations.
  • Experience with solar permitting is a plus.
  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to different AHJ requirements.

Job Description:The Permitting Specialist is responsible for managing the critical initial stages of our solar installation projects. Your primary duties will include:

  • Setting up jobs within our operational pipeline.
  • Serving as the primary point of contact for Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJ)
  • Obtaining all necessary permits from AHJ & Utilities
  • Securing net-metering agreements.
  • Reserving available incentives for qualifying systems.
  • Developing and maintaining a strong understanding of individual AHJ permitting requirements.
  • Coordinating final inspections upon project completion.
  • Distributing project closeout and approval notices to all relevant parties.
