OCEANAIR, a leading global provider of international transportation logistics, is seeking an experienced licensed Customs House Brokerage Entry Writer II to streamline the customs process for our international operations. This person will be essential in ensuring a smooth clearance process, with a strong focus on compliance with all relevant regulations. The ideal candidate will possess meticulous attention to detail and a comprehensive understanding of customs regulations and compliance requirements.
Job Qualifications
- Customs Brokerage License is required
- Strong knowledge of CBP regulations with emphasis on compliance regulation
- Accurate and concise shipment exaction of details and updates to shipment
- Highly organized, detail oriented, ability to handle multiple projects and changing priorities
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office
Job Responsibilities
- Classify goods according to Harmonized Tariff System (HTS) clarification and valuation of merchandise
- Prepare and process import documentation according to CBP regulations.
- Clear goods through customs and PGAs as required. Arrange delivery per client specifications.
- Monitor and trace the location of goods
- Must have a proactive approach to staying current with industry changes and updates
- Utilize product database to document and request necessary documents

Work environment
- Work is performed in an office environment where there is no substantial exposure to adverse environmental conditions. Work requires close attention to tasks for work to be accurately completed. Intermitted breaks during the workday do not compromise the work. Work requires constant respond to changing circumstances and using new information to adjust approach and to quickly respond to new needs.
- Sensory Essential Functions include close work, visual examination of paperwork, computer monitor and keyboard use, conversations, telephone and background noise.
- Light work requiring exerting up to 25 pounds of force frequently to move objects. Some elements of the job are sedentary, but the employee will be required to stand for periods of time or move throughout the premise.
