Principal Software Engineer at Azarc – Cambridge, England

Azarc's Verathread platform creates distributed workflows where multiple companies with legacy systems and disparate data can work together to provide more efficient and reliable end-to-end automation.

About the Role:

We are looking for a highly skilled, self-motivated, and well-organized Principal Software Engineer to join our world-class global team in delivering solutions to the logistics industry and beyond. This role si a hybrid role with 2 days a week in the office in Liverpool Street.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design & implementation of a modular, microservice-based platform to support our global market base.

• Obsess about test & infrastructure automation, ensuring that we have complete coverage across functional areas along with tests that demonstrate a scalable, secure and reliable architecture

• Collaborate with Product Managers, UX Designers, engineers & leadership to deliver innovative and user-friendly solutions.

• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the engineering team.

• Drive technical excellence and ensure the delivery of high-quality code.

• Contribute to the architectural decisions and technical strategy of our digital applications.

• Promote best practices, code reviews, and continuous improvement within the team.

• Proven experience as a senior engineer and strong software development experience with significant exposure to front end technologies and at least one server side technology such as Java/C#/Golang/C++

• Experience designing and working with event driven architectures

• Extensive knowledge of AWS, Docker and cloud-based solutions.

• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid work environment.
