JOB SUMMARY
- The Provider Enrollment Clerk will enroll and track Medicare, Medicaid, and private payor provider applications as well as re-validations and re-credentialing applications. Acts as liaison between providers and payors. Works closely with credentialing clerk to obtain all needed documents and information to complete payor applications. Contacts providers to obtain signatures and follows up with payors to ensure applications are processed. The Provider Enrollment Clerk will also be responsible for medical staff meeting management and support to Medical Staff leaders. Schedules meetings and transcribes minutes. Distributes minutes and meeting agendas and prepares meeting packets. Maintains required Medical Staff documentation and minutes of Medical Staff meetings. Assists with Joint Commission Survey preparation for the Medical Staff Office. Assists with scheduling of physician orientation. Maintains confidentiality in all aspects of Medical Staff and hospital matters. The Medical Staff Enrollment Clerk reports to the Director of Medical Staff Services.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Education:
- High School diploma or equivalent is required. Associates degree in Medical Staff Services or Business related field is preferred. Experience with provider enrollment, credentialing, or as an administrative assistant in a hospital or healthcare institution, medical staff office, or administration, is preferred.

Job Knowledge and Skills:- Excellent organization and computer skills (60 wpm) with intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook required. Requirements include ability to function independently and prioritize work; knowledge of basic medical terminology; strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate professionally, both verbally and in writing; critical thinking, analytical, and problem solving skills; and the ability to work collaboratively with the Medical Staff and Administration.
