About This Position

Mount Sinai Hospital's Emergency Department is a Level I Trauma Center, Certified Chest Pain Center, Certified Stroke Center and EDAP (emergency department approved for pediatrics). We are a region XI Associate Hospital that receives and directs Chicago Fire Department ambulances. Our ED sees approximately 55,000 visits yearly and annually has over 2000 level I traumas. All of our Emergency Department Physicians are board certified, and we value education and training for all of our staff in the ED. Our nurses are all ACLS and PALS trained, and we have a high number of both TNS (trauma nurse specialist) and CEN (certified emergency nurse). Mt Sinai is a teaching hospital and the Emergency Department plays a role in teaching Emergency Residents, RN students, PA students and EMT's.

We care for patients of all ages with both minor and critical complaints. Our goal is to provide excellent emergency care for all patients in a safe, compassionate and timely manner with a focus on customer service.
