CARDIAC MONITOR TECH - NEURO in CANTON, Ohio at Aultman Health Foundation

PURPOSE OF POSITION: The Cardiac Monitor Tech is responsible for the ongoing, continuous surveillance of patient cardiac monitors and provides RNs and/or clinicians with immediate notification of any changes with monitoring leads off/issues and batteries low.

RESPONSIBILITIES & EXPECTATIONS

• Recognizes status for battery and leads and notifies appropriate staff as indicated.
• Maintain and keep accurate logs of interactions and phone calls
• Ability to multitask
• Communicates professionally with multiple levels of staff and maintains positive work relationships.
• Communicate in a timely and efficient manner
• Demonstrates accountability and commitment to coworkers. Is a dependable member of the team. Shares monitoring activities fairly and coordinates breaks. Addresses issues in a timely manner.

• Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent. Complete required organizational and unit competencies as assigned.
• EMT/Paramedic, or cardiac monitoring technician experience preferred. Recent position within the healthcare field preferred.
• Knowledge of cardiac anatomy and physiology, cardiac monitoring
• Excellent customer service, computer and communication skills.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Rotating shifts, generally every other weekend and every other holiday. Subject to change based on the needs of the department.
• Subject to frequent interruptions and changes in priority of duties throughout the day.
• Sitting/standing/moving about during working hours
