Now Hiring: Overnight Security Guard
Location: Moxy Springfield Downtown

Essential Responsibilities:

• Patrol lobbies, corridors, and public areas, including restrooms, to detect infringements, unsafe conditions, or inoperative safety equipment.
• Interview guests, team members, and other individuals to investigate disturbances, complaints, thefts, vandalism, and other incidents.
• Act to warn or remove individuals violating legal regulations, including state and local laws.
• Provide assistance to accident victims and file accident reports as needed.
• Notify staff of the presence of suspicious persons and take appropriate action.
• Assist management and enforcement officers in emergency situations.
• Check rooms of guests suspected of leaving without paying to confirm suspicions and secure any remaining personal property.
• Report to work on time and in uniform as per company policy.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures related to the position.
• Take the initiative to greet guests in a friendly and warm manner.

• Perform other related duties as required.

Skills & Abilities:

• Strong leadership, management, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to identify and resolve problems efficiently.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to deliver results and work well with various personality types.
• Strong multitasking and prioritization skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other relevant computer skills.
• Analytical skills to assess business potential and value to the hotel.
• Comfortable with high visibility and leadership roles within the hotel and community.
• Ability to work under pressure.

Education & Experience:

• Security experience preferred (Military Veteran, Law Enforcement, Fire/EMS, Corrections).
• High School Diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
• Current Driver’s License required.

Hours:

• Flexibility to work an adjusted schedule, including nights and weekends, as needed.
• Responsible for responding to emergencies as necessary, including nights and weekends.

Physical Requirements:

• Standing for long periods.
• Light Work: Exerting up to 40 pounds of force occasionally, up to 20 pounds frequently, and/or a negligible amount constantly to move objects.
• May be required to lift in excess of 40 pounds on occasion.
• This is a safety-sensitive position subject to additional safety requirements.

Work Conditions:

• Both inside and outside work environments, with minimal exposure to adverse conditions.
