Position Summary:

ANSER is seeking an Area Security Officer - Program Security Specialist Team Lead to lead all security coordination functions for the Program Security and Information Systems Support Team.

Day to Day Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative and operational support to the Security Management Lead, including tracking tasks, maintaining security documentation, preparing reports, and assisting with day-to-day coordination of security initiatives.
  • Deliver program and information security support to safeguard personnel, physical assets, classified information, and IT systems in alignment with federal regulations and organizational policies.
  • Assist in the implementation, oversight, and compliance of security programs at the Special Access Program (SAP), Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), and Intelligence Community Controlled Access Program (IC CAP) levels, ensuring all security protocols are properly enforced and documented.
  • Coordinate security-related operations and activities with both internal teams and external partnersincluding government agencies and contractorsto ensure compliance with mission requirements, security directives, and regulatory standards.

Required Qualifications:

  • Current TS/SCI clearance with Poly.
  • Bachelors degree in a related field, such as Security Management, Criminal Justice, Public Administration, Business Administration, or a similar discipline.
  • Minimum of 10 years of professional experience providing administrative, program, or security support within a federal or government contracting environment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of security policies and procedures, including those related to Special Access Programs (SAP), Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), and Intelligence Community Controlled Access Programs (IC CAP).
  • Proficiency with office productivity tools, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), and secure document management systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in a related field such as National Security Studies, Intelligence, or Organizational Management.
  • Professional security certifications, such as:
    • Certified Protection Professional (CPP)
    • Industrial Security Professional (ISP)
    • Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC)
    • Facility Security Officer (FSO) Certification
  • Experience supporting Special Access Programs (SAP) or SCI environments, particularly within the Department of Defense (DoD) or Intelligence Community (IC).
  • Familiarity with security compliance frameworks, such as NISPOM, ICDs, and DoD SAP policies.
  • Experience using government systems for security and personnel management, such as DISS, Scattered Castles, or JADE.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to draft reports, briefings, and security documentation for senior leadership.
