JOB SUMMARY
The Logistics Coordinator will play a vital role in managing the day-to-day transportation and delivery operations, ensuring that all cargo is dispatched efficiently and arrives on time. This position combines the responsibilities of a dispatcher, logistics coordinator/clerk, and will report directly to the Domestic Logistics Manager. This position is responsible for monitoring e-mail from employees and freight agents, securing and communicating freight quotes, scheduling shipments, tracking deliveries, maintaining carrier relationships, and recording accurate shipment records.
Roles/Responsibilities- Schedule and maintain all domestic inbound and outbound freight.
- Schedule inventory transfers between warehouses.
- Monitor Logistics Dashboard – Delivery Drafts, Open Transfers, Return Requests
- Monitor Logistics Email
- Manage Warehouse Appointment Schedules
- Monitor Domestic Freight Costs
- Schedule logistics for returned material.
- Communicate daily with carriers, drivers, and warehouse staff to arrange transportation
- Track shipments to provide updates to customers and internal teams as needed.
- Communicate with freight brokers to obtain freight rates and compare pricing for competitive advantages.
- Monitor carrier performance.
- Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and company policies related to safety and transportation.
- Prepare, maintain, and file shipping documents such as including bills of lading and delivery receipts.
- Assist in maintaining inventory control and coordinate with the warehouse team to verify stock availability for shipments.
- Research damaged material claims and help to research and resolve any disputes related to logistics or transportation.

- Collaborate closely with the Manager to continuously improve the logistics processes and identify areas for cost savings.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 45 lbs.
Required: Minimum 2 years of experience working in logistics and warehousing with increasing responsibilities. Must have a successful history of implementation and maintenance of complex inventory systems.
Recommended: Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, business, business administration or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience in a high-paced manufacturing environment- Knowledge of Microsoft Office / Excel / SAP Business One
