Position Summary:

The Procurement Specialist is responsible for managing the purchasing process for assigned categories or vendors. This role ensures cost-effective procurement of goods and services while maintaining quality standards and supplier performance. The Procurement Specialist supports strategic sourcing efforts and collaborates cross-functionally with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage purchase orders from creation to delivery, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure quality, pricing, and service standards.
  • Conduct cost analysis and negotiate contracts to achieve savings targets.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., production, finance, engineering) to align procurement with business needs.
  • Monitor market trends and supplier performance to identify risks and opportunities.
  • Maintain procurement records, forecasts, and inventory levels as needed.
  • Assist in developing sourcing strategies and participate in supplier selection processes.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in procurement or buying.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of sourcing best practices and supplier management.
