Accountant at Globe Metallurgical – Corbin, Kentucky

Ferroglobe is seeking an experienced Financial Accountant. We are seeking trustworthy candidates who work efficiently without sacrificing accuracy. Accountants can expect to work with large amounts of numerical data, handle multiple tasks with deadlines, and provide transparent and complete reports to management. You should have a firm grasp of accounting and financial practices and regulations. Candidates must possess strong computer skills and communication skills. To ensure success, Accountants should be prompt, honest, detail oriented, professional, and analytical. Top candidates will have excellent presentation skills with the ability to successfully communicate complex quantitative data to decision-makers.

Main Responsibilities & Tasks:

• Complying with all company, local, state, and federal accounting and financial

regulations.

• Compiling, analyzing, and reporting financial data.

• Creating periodic reports.

• Presenting data to managers, auditors, and other entities.

• Maintaining accurate financial records.

• Performing reconciliations and resolving discrepancies.

• Computing taxes.

• Assisting management in the decision-making process by preparing budgets and financial

forecasts.

Qualifications:

• B.S. in Accounting or related field

• 5+ Years’ experience in accounting

• Experience in SAP is preferred, but ERP experience is required

• Expert level experience in Excel with proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications

• In-depth knowledge of full-cycle accounts payable processes

• Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Strong data entry skills with a keen sense of accuracy

• Ability to multitask and stay organized

• Physically capable of working seated in front of a computer for long hours

Working Environment:

• Mainly office environment but on occasion (when needed) go into the plant
