Medical Assistant at Willis-Knighton Health System – Shreveport, Louisiana

Willis Knighton Health is seeking a medical assistant to work in a new orthopedic clinic at WKS. The ideal candidate will need to demonstrate a strong work ethic, critical thinking and organizational skills, attention to detail, flexibility, dependability, possess excellent communication skills, have solid knowledge of computers, and have the initaitve to work independently . We have an atmosphere of teamwork that we expect to continue with all new hires as you will work closely with the physicians, managers, nursing and the clerical staff as an integral component assisting with the daily operations of our clinic. The medical assistant will assist with clerical and medical assisting duties. The job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, giving excellent customer service, filing data entries, the ability to take vital signs, answering /returning phone calls, refills, and scheduling tests, and procedures as ordered. Hospital and departmental orientation will be provided upon completion of the hiring process as well as training on our enterprise-wide practice management system, including health records. You will be required to work Monday through Friday 8:00 to 5:00pm
