Warehouse Associate at H&K SMART FENCE, INC. – Pattison, Texas

Essential Job Functions:

E-commerce Order Fulfillment and LTL Shipment Preparation (60%)

• Assist Warehouse Coordinator in picking, packing and shipping all company online e-commerce orders and loading the delivery trucks
• Assist Warehouse Coordinator to receive and process warehouse stock products (pick, unload, label, store)
• Prepare pallets for LTL shipment reviewing any discrepancies of weight and dimensions
• Help keep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization
• Perform general housekeeping, maintenance, and organization of the warehouse and inventory areas
• Perform additional duties and functions as required.

Warehouse and Inventory Maintenance (30%)

• Under guidance from the Warehouse Coordinator, oversee the integrity of warehouse inventory and maintain the company database
• Coordinate and schedule the movement of products throughout the warehouse
• Confirm the availability of items to be shipped by verifying inventory records or conducting inventories counts.

Other duties as required (10%)

Skills:

• Proven working experience as a warehouse worker
• Forklift experience required
• Good organizational and time management skills
• Basic computer and warehouse tools

Competencies:

• Organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
• Ability to get along well with others

Physical expectations:

• Walking or standing for long periods of time
• Bending, lifting, pushing, and pulling objects frequently
• Use of hands and power tools
• Able to lift 50 lbs. and more with assistance

Environmental conditions:

• Will work indoors (90% in both climate-controlled and non climate-controlled warehouse) and outdoors (10%)
• Conditions may include hot/cold temperatures, dusty surroundings and noisy work environment.

Equipment & Software:
Computer; hand, power, and measuring tools; pallet jack; forklift; hose crimping and banding machines; digital camera. Internet browser, email, MSOffice, carrier website, and some inventory on company ERP.
