Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated Associate Attorney to join our Workers’ Compensation team. You’ll represent insurance carriers, third-party administrators, and self-insured employers before the Workers’ Compensation Board, while managing your own caseload and developing litigation strategy.

What You’ll Do

Attend hearings before the NY Workers’ Compensation Board

Conduct depositions of IME and treating physicians

Draft appeals, rebuttals, and summations

Develop negotiation strategies and settle claims

Communicate case updates to clients and adjusters

Prepare witnesses and strategize for favorable outcomes

What We’re Looking For

Required:

Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Admission to the New York State Bar

Experience in NY Workers Compensation law

3+ years’ experience in a law firm setting

Ability to manage cases from start to finish

Strong writing, communication, and analytical skills

Preferred:

Knowledge of NY Workers’ Compensation Law

Experience in workers’ compensation defense
