Position: Maintenance Technician

Reports to: Construction Maintenace Manager

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Job Status: Full time

General Responsibilities:

• Perform routine inspections and complete general repairs (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, drywall, painting, carpentry).
• Handle preventative maintenance for building systems and fixtures.
• Support facility projects, event setups, and small construction tasks.
• Ensure work complies with safety standards and building codes.
• Collaborate with outside contractors when specialized work is required.
• Other duties as assigned by the Construction Maintenance Manager.

We are seeking a reliable and versatile Maintenance Technician to handle day-to-day maintenance, repair, and improvement needs. The ideal candidate has a broad skillset across electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, painting, drywall, and general repair. This role ensures our facilities are safe, functional, and well-maintained.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain open and frequent communication with your supervisor, other staff, and team members.
• Attend department and all-staff/all-campus meetings.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Proven experience as a maintenance technician, handyman, or in a similar role.
• Working knowledge of multiple trades: electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and painting.
• Ability to use power tools and hand tools safely.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Frequent walking, standing, climbing, stooping, bending, kneeling, and heavy lifting.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

TIME COMMITMENT

• 40 hours per week; may include evenings, weekends, or holidays.
