Connections Coordinator at Calvary Church – Golden Valley, Minnesota

Reports to: Creative Arts Director
Status: Part-time, non-exempt 10-15 hours/week, Sundays and some holidays, flexible week day schedule

Role Summary: The Connections Coordinator sees hospitality and special events as an opportunity to connect people to a next step in their relationship with Jesus and at Calvary. The Connections Coordinator will infuse their passion, joy and excitement into volunteers as they are trained and equipped to connect visitors to Calvary. If you love talking with anyone and everyone, enjoy teaching people, love planning events and have administrative and process giftings, this is the position for you!

Role Responsibilities:

• Enthusiastically recruit, train and schedule hospitality focused teams to deliver unforgettable hospitality

• Implement hospitality best practices (personal interactions and facility experiences)

• Organize and facilitate Calvary 101 classes

• Train all volunteers on Calvary Safe Haven policy and emergency procedures

• Assist the Care Pastor with funeral logistics; train and equip volunteer funeral team

• Maintain key performance indicators (service/event attendance, hours, turnover)

• Generosity Initiative special events and logistics leader

• Oversees Calvary Kitchen hospitality as operated by volunteers (donuts, coffee, etc)

• Other duties as assigned

Key Relationships:

• Collaborates with Communications Team, Care Pastor, Campus Pastor, Facilities and Funeral Teams

Personal Responsibilities:

• Exhibit a growth mindset continuously seeking ways to lead people into a growing relationship with Jesus

• Live in such a way that your witness, example, service to others, and worship does not become a stumbling block. (I Timothy 3:2 and Acts 15:19)

• Working towards a tithe (10%) of income to Jesus and the mission of Calvary

Knowledge, skills, attributes:

• Infectious enthusiasm for Jesus and His work in and through Calvary

• Familiarity with church management systems, Google applications, technically inclined

• Heart of a teacher, willing to meet people where they are at and guide them with grace

• Clear and timely communicator, has the gift of yapping and is administratively minded
