Qualifications

• CPA or EA required

• 6+ years of tax/accounting experience (public firm required) with an emphasis on high level review of individual and business tax returns

• Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills

• Proficient with tax/accounting software and data analysis tools

• Ability to work both in-office (Wilson County, TN) and remotely

Key Responsibilities

Technical Expertise

• Stay current with tax law updates and changes

• Develop strategic tax plans to minimize tax liabilities

• Identify tax-saving opportunities and conduct in-depth research on complex tax issues

• Interpret/apply tax laws to client scenarios

• Perform financial forecasting, analysis, and internal controls design

• Assess/improve accounting procedures and risk mitigation

• Leverage technology and data analysis for process improvement

Client Management

• Manage client accounts and maintain long-term relationships

• Advise clients and accountants on financial and strategic planning

• Resolve conflicts and manage challenging situations

Professional Development

• Develop leadership, team management, and strategic planning skills

• Enhance public speaking/presentation abilities

Leadership

• Delegate tasks/responsibilities and provide constructive feedback

• Mentor and guide junior staff

• Contribute to team and firm strategic planning

Operational Excellence

• Implement processes to enhance team efficiency
