What You'll Do
- Develop and execute a territory growth strategy focused on increasing revenue and market share
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within assigned accounts and target markets
- Build and maintain strong relationships with current and prospective customers
- Conduct sales calls, site visits, equipment demonstrations, and customer presentations
- Partner with customers to understand operational needs and recommend solutions
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure exceptional customer experience and support
- Maintain an active sales pipeline and accurately forecast opportunities
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs
- Represent MHI professionally within the territory and industry
- Utilize CRM tools to manage activities, opportunities, and customer information
Expected Outcomes (KPIs)
- Achieve or exceed territory revenue goals
- Increase market share within assigned territory
- Generate consistent new customer acquisition and business development activity
- Grow equipment, service, parts, rental, and solutions revenue
- Maintain a healthy sales pipeline and forecast accuracy
- Improve customer retention and account penetration
- Build long-term customer relationships that drive repeat business
- Contribute to overall branch and company growth objectives
Background & Experience
- 3+ years of experience in outside sales, business development, account management, or a related role
- Experience in material handling, industrial equipment, construction, manufacturing, distribution, or a related industry preferred
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills
- Ability to identify opportunities and close business independently
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Experience utilizing CRM systems and sales tools
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout assigned territory
