MACHINE OPERATOR at Lab Crafters Inc. – Ronkonkoma, New York

Reports To: Production Manager

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 6:00 am - 2:45 pm

Position Summary: Run Bridgeport Mill, Manual Lathe, Haas VD-2 CNC Mill, tapping centers, etc. by production schedule in a sheet metal fabrication factory.

Tasks / Responsibilities:

• Adhere to company policies and procedures and maintain regular work attendance.
• Complete jobs needed daily, sequencing work to ensure the efficiency of the machine center according to the production schedule.
• Perform quality checks to ensure rejects are minimized.
• Perform rework as needed to resolve design/production issues.
• Interface daily with Quality to ensure that the machine shop is producing quality parts in a highly efficient manner.

Minimum Background, Experience, and Requirements:

• Must have basic proficiency in the English language to comply with verbal and written directions, signs, policies, and procedures.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proficient in reading blueprints.
• 2-5 years of manual machining experience.
• 2-5 years of CNC Operating experience (Mill/Lathe) preferred.
• Experience in Mastercam for Milling is a plus.
• Experience in Haas - G Code is a plus
• Strong desire to learn on the job.
• Strong organizational, planning, and analytical skills.
• Deadline-driven and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Reliable, good work ethic, and high integrity.
• Perform other duties as assigned

Salary Range: $18.00-$23.00 per hour. The pay range for this position is approximate. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities.
