Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical guidance, oversight, and coordination of the development of new and modified LTD
- Ensure the quality of interactive electronic technical manuals and guarantee that products are prepared in accordance with published procedures and processes
- Interface regularly with various EB Engineering disciplines, shipyard organizations, and the Navy customer to resolve or better understand technical and programmatic issues
- Facilitate the resolution of internal and external comments against LTD products
- Attend kickoff meetings, evaluate designs, and provide department man-hour estimates for manual updates or other products as appropriate; updates routinely include new designs or backfit modernizations
- Work with supervision to determine priorities, develop schedules, and manage workload
- Recommend and implement process improvement initiatives, as appropriate

Qualifications
Required
- High School Diploma or GED
- 10+ years of experience with technical documentation and/or U.S. naval experience
- Experience operating, maintaining, or documenting submarine ship systems and the use of operating procedures
- Ability to obtain and maintain DoD secret clearance
- Successful completion of Naval Nuclear Propulsion ProgramA qualified Naval Nuclear Engineer, a prior served Engineering Department Master Chief, or a prior served Chief of the BoatA technical background in submarine systems/componentsDirect involvement with special emphasis programs (DSS-SOC, SUBSAFE, and Fly-by-Wire) requirementsExperience working with submarine Logistics Technical Data (Ship System Manual, Technical Manuals, etc.)
