The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Officer to take ownership of our AR function. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will manage the order-to-cash cycle, continue to drive improvements to our credit management processes and manage end of month close process within NetSuite. This role is ideally suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys building strong internal and external relationships and owns the AR process.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end accounts receivable including customer invoicing, payment allocation and reconciliation

• Conduct daily payment reconciliation and resolve discrepancies

• Drive the monthly AR close process, ensuring completion by deadlines
• Follow up overdue invoices and manage debt collection in line with company procedures

• Process and manage customer credit applications, credit checks (NCI) and credit limit reviews

• Maintain trade creditors insurance and conduct annual reviews with NCI

• Process credit card payments and manage credits and adjustments

• Prepare weekly AR ageing reports and support cash flow forecasting

• Onboard new customers including establishing purchase order processes and informing the wider team

• Liaise with Operations and Workshop teams to ensure timely invoicing

• Support audit preparation with AR documentation and schedules

• Mentor junior team members on AR processes and best practice

What You’ll Bring

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a dedicated accounts receivable role

• Proven experience in credit management, debt collection and customer account reconciliation

• Strong working knowledge of accounting software; NetSuite experience would be highly regarded

• Solid understanding of GST, BAS and Australian tax compliance obligations

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (XLOOKUP, pivot tables, data analysis)

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with customers and internal stakeholders

• Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy in financial processes

• Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to work autonomously

• Experience in mining services, industrial supply or field-service industries is advantageous

• Certificate IV in Accounting/Bookkeeping or higher qualification desirable; CA/CPA studies advantageous
