JANITORIAL/MAINTENANCE at Americas Auto Auction Toledo Inc – Perrysburg, Ohio

America's Auto Auction - Toledo is looking for a self motivated Janitorial/Maintenance Tech to join our growing team!

The Janitorial/Maintenance Technician supports auction operations by performing general facility, building, and grounds maintenance and janitorial tasks to ensure a safe, functional, and professional environment. This position is responsible for lot and facilities cleanliness, organization, aesthetics and overall upkeep of premises.

This is a full time position Monday-Friday.

Essential Functions:

1. Provide efficient and courteous service to all customers at all times.
2. Hanging of signs, posters, decor, electronics, and equipment as necessary.
3. Replacement of burnt-out light bulbs, ceiling tiles, and general
4. Ensure lot, offices and garaged areas, arena, storage closets, maintenance/janitorial areas, hallways, and restrooms are clean and orderly, building windows are clean, and surfaces are wiped down regularly.
5. Sweep, mop, and empty trash as necessary.
6. Ensure all building supplies are properly inventoried and adequately stocked.
7. Assists in performing general handyman duties as necessary.
8. Assists with communication, guidance, and direction of 3rd party vendors.
9. Assists in the movement, assembly, tear down, and disposal of furniture, signage, displays, etc.
10. Painting of interior and exterior items as necessary.
11. Works with gas, electric, battery, and pneumatic power tools.
12. Timely communication to management of any issues that may be deemed as detrimental to the success of operations.

• Previous janitorial/maintenance experience preferred
• Should be highly organized, self-motivated and self-disciplined
• Should be prideful and diligent at work at all times
• Should be willing to learn
• Demonstrates basic knowledge of building maintenance, repair techniques, and use of hand and power tools.
• Applies strong attention to detail and commitment to safe work practices.
• Communicates clearly and professionally with supervisors and operational teams.
• Demonstrates ability to prioritize tasks and respond to urgent maintenance needs.
• Works independently while supporting a team-based operations environment.
• Demonstrates reliability and accountability in completing assigned work.
• Maintains awareness of safety procedures and proper equipment use.
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Must possess a valid driver’s license
• Must have a reliable form of transportation to and from work every day
• Must work well both independently and as a team player
• Must be punctual and adhere to attendance policies
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently
• Must keep a proper professional appearance at all times

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, and perform physical labor for extended periods.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to use ladders, tools, and maintenance equipment safely.

Environment:

The environment of the Janitorial/Maintenance employee involves being subject to temperature changes, all types of weather conditions, elevated noise levels and at times fumes and odors associated with vehicle exhaust.
