As a Deal Desk Manager, you will play a critical role in accelerating the revenue process while ensuring compliance and consistency across complex deals. You will serve as the central advisor for Sales, Customer Success, Finance, and Legal teams, shaping deal structures, guiding approvals, and creating scalable processes that support growth. This role offers the opportunity to build the deal desk function from the ground up, streamline quote-to-cash operations, and provide visibility into deal health and commercial patterns. The position requires strong analytical skills, excellent cross-functional communication, and the ability to translate complex deal scenarios into actionable guidance. You will be instrumental in shaping a repeatable, efficient framework that enables the company to scale effectively.
- Serve as the primary advisor to Sales and Customer Success on deal structure, pricing, discounting, and contract terms, particularly for complex or enterprise deals
- Review and approve deals against internal pricing policies and booking guidelines, ensuring compliance without slowing deal velocity
- Build and manage deal desk workflows, approval frameworks, SLA standards, and discount authorization matrices
- Drive continuous improvement of the quote-to-cash process, including Salesforce and CPQ tools, enhancing data quality and operational efficiency
- Partner with Finance and Legal to ensure accurate revenue recognition, order management, and compliant contract execution
- Provide leadership with visibility into deal trends, exceptions, and commercial insights to support strategic decisions
- Develop and maintain playbooks, contract templates, and booking guidelines tailored to subscription and hardware-plus-service business models
Requirements:
- 4–7 years of experience in Deal Desk, Sales Operations, Revenue Operations, or Contract Management, ideally in B2B SaaS, IoT, or subscription-based businesses
- Proven experience building or improving deal desk processes in a high-growth environment
- Strong understanding of subscription pricing models, ASC 606 revenue recognition, and commercial contract structures
- Proficiency in Salesforce CRM; experience with CPQ tools (Salesforce CPQ, DealHub, or similar) preferred
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to model deals and communicate financial tradeoffs clearly
- Exceptional cross-functional communication skills, translating complex deals for Sales, Finance, and executive stakeholders
- Comfortable operating in ambiguity, building processes from scratch, and managing competing priorities at month-end and quarter-end
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field
