Essential Responsibilities:- Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on tanks, motors, drives, conveyor systems, tempering machines, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions.
- Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening to problems; diagnosing and repairing.
- Removes defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools; examining form and texture of parts.
- Determines changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts; using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
- Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments including Omron controllers and drives.
- Controls downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques; monitoring compliance.
- Fabricates repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.
- Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt.
- Conserves maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
- Provides mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests.
- Prepares mechanical maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
- Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing technical publications; establishing personal networks.
- Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Industrial maintenance experience.
- 2 years of experience as a Maintenance Mechanic or in a similar role.
- Preferred work experience in a food manufacturing environment.
- Welding and/or fabrication experience preferred.
- HS diploma or GED. Trade certification or vocational school graduate.
- Demonstrate knowledge and ability to operate hand and power tools.
- Demonstrate mechanical aptitude and ability.
- Demonstrate Strong computer skills.
- Able to perform physical task and demonstrate physical dexterity.
- Ability to troubleshoot to identify and recommend solutions.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
- Ability to safely lift 50 lbs. and /or push, pull or move heavy machinery and/or drums.
- Ability to work up to a 12-hour shift occasionally.

Shift Hours - Second Shift (2:00 PM - 10:30 PM).
First few months shift requested is 6:00 AM - 2:30AM.
