Position Summary:

The Clinical Coordinator provides daily clinical oversight, supervision, and support to direct service teams. As the Program Director’s trusted thought partner, this leadership role is essential to ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality, client-centered services. The Clinical Coordinator ensures that clinical staff are well-trained, informed, and fully equipped to meet program standards. Key responsibilities also include overseeing the intake process and case disposition, as well as supervising program coordinators and assigning student interns.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree (Master’s preferred) in an Early Intervention (EI) Core Team discipline.

Excellent working knowledge of clinical approaches and techniques in the field of Early Intervention.

Experience supervising professional/clinical staff.

Ability to act as a clinical trainer and EI program mentor.

Experience working with infants, young children, and their families.

Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Abide by all confidentiality and professional boundaries standards.

Current driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Computer Knowledge (Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Teams).

Job Elements

  • Oversee daily EI services delivery.
    • Supervise the delivery of EI services using the program’s clinical team structure.
    • Support the use of ThomConnect.
    • In partnership with the Program Director, ensure that funding and regulatory guidelines and best practices are consistently implemented.
    • Address clinical issues as they arise in collaboration with Program Director.
    • Develop and monitor systems for maximum staff safety in the office and the community.
    • Oversee staff productivity
  • Clinical supervision and troubleshooting
  • Provide support to clinical team supervisors and their staff around clinical services and performance.
  • Provide support to program coordinators.
  • Refer issues to Program Director as appropriate.
  • Work with the Program Director to ensure ongoing program compliance with DPH, EI and reporting standards.
  • Oversee relationships with local schools, school-related resources and community partners
  • Provide support to clinical team supervisors responsible for collaboration with LEA and provide regular updates to program director.
  • Participate in regular meetings with community partners and participate in outreach activities.
  • Oversee intake process, case disposition and program coordinators.
  • Provide support for the intake and evaluation process and case assignments.
  • Provide orientation and training for Intake Specialists.
  • Supervise Playgroup coordinator, ASD Team Lead, DHOH/Vision Coordinator and Outreach Coordinator.
  • Oversee orientation and training program.
    • Develop, update, and maintain employee orientation and training program.
    • Supervise the process for portfolio support.
    • Plan and implement required staff training.
  • Participate in recruitment, screening and interviewing and hire in consultation with Program Director of new employees.
  • Oversee the recruitment, assignment, and supervision of student interns.
  • Participate in interviews.
  • Work with the Program Director to apply for funding and write grant proposals.
  • Collaborate with the Program Director about new initiatives and opportunities as requested.
  • Serve as back up to the Program Director as needed.
