Job Summary Winding Machine Operator- Composites

As a Winding Machine Operator- Composites, you will play a key role in the steps related to the manufacture of thermoset composite materials by operating winding equipment. Duties also involve manual work and duties that require the use of various hand tools and secondary/accessory equipment.

Key Responsibilities Winding Machine Operator- Composites

• Manufacture composite tubes.
• Install Mandrels into winding machines
• Set up tooling, load programs and set machine parameters to ensure optimal equipment performance.
• Clean dies and molds, using scrapers, brushes, scotch pads or air hoses.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

High School Diploma or GED with prior hands on, vocational or job-related course work/training, or any similar combination of education and experience.

Preferred:

Prior experience in a manufacturing industry with mixing, batching or compounding equipment is preferred.

Work Environment Winding Machine Operator- Composites

This role is performed in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, fumes, and chemicals.

Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required. The position may involve repetitive tasks and manual labor, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods of time.
