Job Description:
Must be adaptable to have an open mindset to change, flexibility and resourcefulness. Must be part of a cohesive team to work with the Clerk of Court office, align with our mission, vision and values. This Deputy Clerk of Circuit Court III includes but not limited to: Customer service is essential and expected responding to our customers’ questions whether by emails, telephone calls and front counter.
Leadership training subordinates and technology proficient including excel spreadsheets and all Microsoft platforms. The class works within a general outline of work to be performed and develops work methods and sequences under general supervision.

Probate
This class but not limited to: scheduling appointments for the public who need to Probate estates, file for Guardianships, Conservators, and any other needs, i.e., able to handle financial, real estate. When receiving applications for Probate matters and scheduling appointments and working with our criminal, civil or land record and deeds divisions. This class is also responsible to gather, organize, research, and examine information based on the data/information collected.
Receive, record and/or update Probate files with our Court Management system. Researching Probate Estates and Property information. Indexing and scanning daily work into the Logan System for it to be uploaded to the public. Must be prepared to learn Loagan’s new LEAP. Will be able to do each team member’s tasks.



Required Qualifications:
VOCATIONAL/EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT: Requires an associate’s degree or any equivalent combination of education and experience in business administration, public administration, or a closely related field.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT: In addition to satisfying the vocational/education standards, this class requires a minimum of two years of related, full-time equivalent experience.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Employees may be expected to work hours in excess of their normally scheduled hours in response to short-term department needs and/or City-wide emergencies.



Preferred Qualifications:
Has the ability to accurately perform and pay attention to details, including managing competing priorities.
  • Proficient in all Microsoft and Excel Technology
  • Experienced in handling confidential paperwork.
  • Exceptional customer-relations emphasis court background
  • Experience in coordinating with team staff members
  • Must be adaptable to have an open mindset to change, flexibility and resourcefulness.
