Location: Holland, MI
Candidates with CAM programming experience are highly preferred!
We are currently seeking experienced Machinists to join our night shift team in Holland, MI. This position operates Sunday through Thursday, with start times between 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM, working 10-hour shifts.
In this role, you will support Skilled Trades, Applications, Controls, and Mechanical Engineering teams in the design, build, programming, and deployment of custom automated equipment and solutions. Responsibilities include setting up and operating 3-axis vertical machining centers and producing high-mix, low-volume 2D and 3D machined components ranging from simple to complex details.
What You’ll Do:
• Set up and operate CNC machine tools, primarily vertical mills such as Mazak and Hurco machines
• Read and interpret blueprints to machine metallic and non-metallic parts to precise tolerances
• Import CAD data and utilize FeatureCAM software to program CNC machining centers
• Calculate and adjust feeds and speeds to optimize machining performance and cutting conditions
• Perform preventative maintenance (PM) on equipment and maintain a clean, organized work area
• Communicate potential quality concerns clearly and effectively with management
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 2+ years of machining experience or vocational training preferred
• Experience setting up and operating CNC machining centers required
• CAM programming experience preferred
• Journeyman Machinist certification is a plus, but not required
• Strong understanding of high-mix, low-volume machining environments preferred
