Minimum Qualifications:
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the United States.
- Completion of an accredited nursing program (Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Demonstrated experience in direct patient care within a clinical setting.
- Strong knowledge of medical/surgical nursing principles and practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree.
- Advanced certifications such as Certified Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (CMSRN)
- Experience with telemetry monitoring and wound care specialization.
- Previous work experience in a ambulatory surgery center or acute care environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care including assessment, monitoring, and documentation of patient conditions.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Perform wound care management and telemetry monitoring to detect and respond to changes in patient status.
- Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatment plans, and preventive care strategies.
- Advocate for patient rights and needs within the healthcare team to ensure holistic and patient-centered care.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Participate in continuous professional development and quality improvement initiatives.
