General Description:

We are seeking a Procurement Specialist to support our construction projects by sourcing and purchasing materials and equipment, negotiating competitive pricing and terms, issuing and tracking purchase orders, and coordinating deliveries to meet job-site schedules and budgets. In this role, you’ll partner with project teams to manage substitutions, resolve supplier and delivery issues, maintain accurate procurement and compliance documentation, and help ensure all purchased materials meet quality, safety, and company requirements.

Key Responsibilities: (Essential Functions)

1. Identify and evaluate vendors for project-specific materials.
2. Secure the best pricing, terms, and conditions for construction materials.
3. Prepare, issue, and track purchase orders for materials.
4. logistics to ensure materials arrive at job sites as scheduled.
5. Analyze material costs, identify cost-saving opportunities, and work within project budgets.
6. Monitor supplier performance and ensure contract compliance.
7. Conduct performance reviews and assess supplier quality, reliability, and compliance.
8. Ensure procurement processes align with safety regulations, legal requirements, and company policies.
9. Stay updated on material pricing, availability, and alternative suppliers.
10. Work closely with project managers, engineers, and site supervisors to fulfill material needs.
11. Manage material adjustments and substitutions as project needs evolve.
12. Verify that purchased materials meet project specifications and quality standards.
13. Ensure procurement aligns with environmental and ethical sourcing policies.
14. Address supply chain disruptions, delivery delays, and vendor disputes.
15. Use construction procurement systems or ERP software for tracking purchases and supplier data.
16. Maintain procurement records, contracts, and compliance documentation for audits and project tracking.
17. Maintains insurance on equipment and vehicles.

1. Previous purchasing experience.
2. Previous experience in field operation/construction.
