Jones & Sons is looking to hire a Concrete Sales & Quality Control Specialist at our Vincennes, Indiana location. Started in 1971, we are a family owned and operated business with locations in Bloomfield, Clinton, Linton, Terre Haute, Vincennes and Washington, IN. Our core activities include Ready Mixed Concrete, Block, Brick, Precast Concrete, and Aggregates servicing Southwest Indiana.

Position Overview

This is a hybrid role that requires a dynamic individual to manage the entire customer lifecycle - from initial sales quotes in the office to on-site quality assurance at cusotmer construction sites. The successful applicant will split his or her time between inside sales/QC at our Vincennes plant and field visits with customers and project managers.

Key Responsibilities

• Inside Sales and Quoting: Manage incoming inquiries, prepare detailed project quotes, and process sales orders from the Vincennes office.
• Customer Relationship Management: Travel to various construction sites to meet with existing and potential customers, understand project needs, and provide product solutions.
• Quality Control (QC) & Testing: Perform on-site testing of concrete mixes to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer specifications.
• Issue Resolution: Promptly address and manage any quality control issues that arise in the field or with product delivery.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all sales activities, client interactions, and quality control test results.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Experience: Previous slaes and/or concrete quality control experience is highly preferred.
• Industry Knowledge: A strong background in the concrete industry or general construction materials business is a signficant advantage.
• Communication: Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Work Environment: Ability to balance office tasks with field work that may involve various weather and worksite conditions.
• Mobility: Valid drivers license required. A company vehicle will be provided for travel to construction sites and other Jones and Sons locations.
