Controls Electrician at Control Solutions Inc – Wyoming, Michigan

Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Electrician / BMS Controls Technician to install, commission, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical and Building Management Systems (BMS) in commercial and industrial environments. This role supports HVAC, lighting, and automation systems while ensuring compliance with safety standards and electrical codes.

Key Responsibilities
Work on construction sites in varying weather and environmental conditions.
Install, wire, and maintain electrical and BMS control systems (HVAC, lighting, temperature controls).
Commission, test, and troubleshoot BMS controllers, sensors, and field devices.
Diagnose electrical and control system issues using testing and diagnostic tools.
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on building automation systems.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and control drawings.
Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and clients to meet project deadlines.
Follow all safety standards, company procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Maintain accurate service and project documentation.
Provide technical support and mentorship to apprentices as needed.

Qualifications
Licensed or qualified Electrician with relevant trade certification.
Experience with Building Management Systems (BMS/BAS).
Strong knowledge of electrical, control wiring, and low-voltage systems.
Familiarity with HVAC controls, sensors, VFDs, and actuators.
Experience with platforms such as Niagara, Distech, Siemens, Honeywell, Schneider, or Johnson Controls preferred.
Knowledge of BACnet, Modbus, and TCP/IP networking.
Strong troubleshooting, communication, and teamwork skills.
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites as required.
