Prospect Engagement Consultant
FLSA Classification:
Non-Exempt
Reports to:
Team Manager/ Director of Operations
Summary/objective:
The Prospect Engagement Consultants’ responsibilities include ascertaining whether potential clients might be interested in our client’s products or services and then scheduling a time for our Sales Representatives to meet with each client. This position requires making a minimum of 120 outbound calls a day, conducting light research to locate the decision maker, and doing follow-up calls as needed to further the customer relationships.
To be successful as a Prospect Engagement Consultant, you should be determined to achieve and surpass each of your work-related goals. Ultimately, an outstanding Prospect Engagement Consultant will demonstrate a thorough understanding of the sales process, including ways in which to gain interest in meeting with our client’s Sales Representatives.
Essential functions:
Schedule qualified appointments with prospective clients
Educate prospective clients on products and services
Resolve client inquiries and complaints
Source, generate and process new sales opportunities and qualified appointments through outbound calling & lead follow-up
Work with prospects to develop an understanding of their needs and how we can address them
Deliver prepared sales talks, reading from scripts that describe products or services, to persuade potential customers to purchase a product or service.
Manage data for new and prospective clients within CRM, ensuring all communications are logged, information is accurate
Contact businesses or private individuals by telephone to solicit sales for goods or services.
Adjust sales scripts to better target the needs and interests of specific individuals.
Schedule appointments for client sales representatives to meet with prospective customers or for customers to attend sales presentations.
Schedule qualified appointments with prospective clients
Educate prospective clients on products and services
Maintain a record of client contact information
Keeping client and prospect data updated
Data cleaning and mining leads for client
Ensure lead contact records is accurate and updated in the system
Other agency duties as assigned
Competencies:
Answer customer questions about goods or services.
Contact current or potential customers to promote products or services.
Explain technical product or service information to customers.
Identify potential customers.
Maintain records of customer accounts.
Schedule appointments with prospective customers.
Work environment:
The employee may occasionally come into contact with fumes or airborne particles; may regularly work near Outdoor weather conditions; the employee will regularly Work near moving mechanical parts; Risk of electrical shock;
Physical demands:
The employee will occasionally Stand; Walk; the employee will frequently climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; the employee will regularly sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; Reach with hands and arms; Talk or hear; the employee will regularly be expected to lift Up to 10 pounds; Up to 25 pounds; Up to 50 pounds;

Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision; Distance vision; Peripheral vision; Depth perception; Ability to adjust focus;
Required education and experience:
High School/G.E.D and at least 1 year experience in sales, hospitality or other related field
Ideal candidates have outbound b2b sales or appointment setting experience, but we will train amazing people with b2c experience!

Excellent phone etiquette with professional phone voice
Strong negotiation skills
GO GETTER who enjoys talking to people and being on the phone
Ability to build rapport with clients
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
A positive "can-do" attitude with the ability to overcome obstacles and pursue desired results
Strong work ethic: someone that inherently always takes their job performance very seriously and clearly outperforms most of his or her coworkers
Previous experience in sales, customer service, hospitality or other related fields
Intermediate computer skills a must (Microsoft Office 365, web browsing, researching)
Strong sense of personal integrity and a high degree of personal responsibility/accountability
The ability to work closely and easily with a diverse team
Self-motivated and a team player that has fun on the job while getting a lot done
Good time-management skills
Preferred education and experience:
Outbound b2b sales or appointment setting experience, but we will train amazing people with b2c experience!
Outbound Call Center sales experience or appointment setting experience, preferred not required
Mac user is preferred
LinkedIn Sales Navigator experience a plus!
