Description
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to support daily accounting operations and financial reporting. This role will be responsible for managing accounts payable and receivable, maintaining the general ledger, participating in month-end and year-end close processes, and assisting with audit preparation. The ideal candidate is organized, accurate, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesReview and manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
Enter invoices daily into the general ledger
Prepare weekly check runs for CEO and CFO review
Respond to vendor inquiries
Post 340B billing and vouchers monthly through the subledger
Prepare invoices for select pharmacies on a quarterly basis
Reconcile accounts payable and receivable
Maintain and balance subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling transactions; resolve discrepancies
Maintain the general ledger by inputting daily financial transactions
Participate in month-end and year-end close processes
Reconcile all bank accounts daily and monthly
Reconcile the Crown Heights bank account monthly
Assist with annual audit preparation
Collect and verify company credit card receipts and statements
Prepare and file Forms 1096 and 1099 annually
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required)
Minimum of 2–3 years of accounting experience
Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance
Fund EZ experience preferred
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems
Ability to communicate effectively with vendors and internal leadership
