Grading - Construction Project Manager at Latitude Inc – Rockville, Virginia

Job Summary

In this critical role, the Grading Project Manager oversees and manages multiple field crews to ensure the successful execution of grading projects involving highways, streets, and parking lots. This position also provides oversight of subcontractors and coordinates efforts across all phases of grading operations. Strong leadership and organizational skills are essential to maintaining productivity, safety, and high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead multiple crews to ensure efficient, safe, and high-quality operations
• Interpret and implement construction plans in accordance with project specifications
• Conduct regular job site visits to monitor supervision effectiveness, job progress, quality, and safety
• Collaborate with internal teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders to ensure timely project completion
• Review and adjust schedules, material needs, and crew assignments to optimize resources and meet deadlines
• Read and understand contract documents, change orders, and project submittals
• Ensure equipment is properly maintained and operating efficiently in coordination with the maintenance team

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills
• Experience managing project budgets, quality control, project documentation, and invoicing
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the grading industry as a supervisor
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a management role
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
