Mission

Waséyabek Federal Services, LLC (WFS) is a 100% Tribally owned, Native American SBA 8(a) small business of the Nottawaseppi Huron Band of the Potawatomi (NHBP). WFS is part of a portfolio of companies managed by Waséyabek Development Company, LLC, a 100% Tribally owned economic development firm focused on income diversification on behalf of NHBP that reaches beyond gaming is a well-funded, experienced small business, with substantial liquid assets and experience in federal contracting. WFS has borrowing capacity to meet the daily cash needs of new business development, new award support, and operational working capital. WFS is well-versed in federal contract compliance and providing outstanding support services.


Position Summary

The Project Manager (PM) is responsible for the overall execution, management, and successful delivery of work performed under the Statement of Work supporting the SRR/Liquid Waste Contractor Facility Maintenance and HVAC Services contract. Serving as the single point of contact and accountability, the PM leads all aspects of contract performance, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with quality, regulatory, and performance standards.

The PM directs a multidisciplinary workforce and coordinates closely with client stakeholders, including the STR (Subcontract Technical Representative), to ensure alignment with mission objectives. This role includes full authority over decision-making, resource allocation, and execution strategy, while maintaining transparency through regular reporting and continuous engagement with both the client and internal leadership.

Role Responsibilities
  • Serve as the single point of contact for all contract execution activities and task orders.

  • Provide overall leadership, direction, and accountability for project performance, deliverables, and workforce execution.

  • Ensure compliance with all contract requirements, quality plans, safety standards, and performance expectations.

  • Communicate regularly with the STR, leadership team, and Board of Managers regarding project status, risks, and performance updates.

  • Coordinate with Work Control, planners, and client representatives to define work scope, priorities, and scheduling.

  • Oversee daily operations, including workforce supervision, task assignments, and performance monitoring.

  • Conduct daily walk-downs to observe field activities, ensure safe work practices, and provide feedback to personnel.

  • Lead preparation for audits, inspections, and assessments; review results and implement corrective actions as needed.

  • Address Management Field Observations and assessment findings, including development of performance improvement plans.

  • Ensure proper contract oversight and achievement of performance goals through collaboration with internal leadership.

  • Act as Subcontractor Authorized Representative (SAR), ensuring coordination and execution align with facility priorities.

  • Provide pre-job briefings and issue daily work assignments to maintenance and HVAC technicians.

  • Deliver regular (daily, weekly, monthly) reports on project status, materials, compliance, and performance metrics.

  • Monitor ongoing work and evaluate completed tasks to identify efficiencies, deficiencies, and lessons learned.

  • Promote continuous improvement through data analysis, customer feedback, and stakeholder collaboration.

  • Manage resources effectively to support mission requirements while maintaining facility safety and reliability.

  • Ensure all personnel meet and maintain required training and regulatory compliance standards.

  • Coordinate procurement activities, including vendor engagement and materials acquisition.

  • Oversee waste management coordination, including handling and disposal of regulated materials.

  • Maintain high standards of customer service and proactively address client concerns.

  • Provide leadership on complex projects, special assignments, and critical maintenance activities.

Qualifications
  • Extensive experience in project management within maintenance, operations, or HVAC services environments.

  • Strong leadership experience managing multidisciplinary teams and subcontractor personnel.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage large-scale contracts and ensure compliance with performance, safety, and quality standards.

  • Proven experience working with government or regulated industry clients, including coordination with technical representatives (e.g., STR).

  • In-depth knowledge of facility maintenance operations, work control processes, and planning/scheduling practices.

  • Experience with safety programs, regulatory compliance, and worker protection plans.

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to provide clear, consistent updates to stakeholders at all levels.

  • Ability to analyze performance data, identify trends, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Experience with audit preparation, inspections, and corrective action management.

  • Knowledge of procurement processes and vendor coordination.

  • Familiarity with waste management practices related to maintenance operations.

  • High level of accountability, decision-making authority, and organizational leadership.

Preferred:

  • Significant experience supporting Department of Energy (DOE) sites or similar government facilities.

  • Background in site utilities, project controls, and building/HVAC systems.

  • Extensive industry experience (e.g., 20+ years) in maintenance and operations leadership roles.
