Now Hiring: Greenskeeper
Location: The Golf Club at Champions Circle, Fort Worth
Essential Responsibilities:
Perform general landscape maintenance using hand mowers or power mowers.
Operate small machinery for trimming and edging around walks, flower beds, and walls, using clippers, weed cutters, and edging tools.
Prune shrubs and trees to shape and improve growth or remove damaged leaves, branches, or twigs, using shears, pruners, or chainsaws.
Spray lawns, shrubs, and trees with fertilizer, herbicides, and insecticides using hand or automatic sprayers.
Rake and bag leaves; maintain sand bunkers.
Prepare soil beds for sod, seed, and planting; perform weeding and debris cleanup.
Clean grounds and remove trash.
Make minor repairs on equipment such as lawn mowers and irrigation systems.
Remove trash from the exterior of the building.
Repair fences, gates, walls, walks, etc., as needed.
Paint fences and outbuildings when required.
Clean out drainage ditches and culverts as necessary.
Perform ground maintenance duties using tractors equipped with attachments such as mowers, lime/fertilizer spreaders, lawn rollers, and snow removal equipment.
Sharpen tools as needed.
Report to work for scheduled shifts on time and in uniform in accordance with company policy.
Know and comply with all company policies and procedures pertaining to this position.
Take the initiative to greet guests in a friendly and warm manner.

Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or requested.
Skills & Abilities:
Ability to work outside for long periods in all weather conditions, performing physically demanding tasks.
Follow instructions accurately.
Adapt to repetitive tasks or varied duties depending on daily business needs.
Work quickly and skillfully with hands to operate tractors, mowers, and other equipment safely.
Incorporate safe work practices in all job performance.
Education & Experience:
Two years’ experience in the maintenance field and three years’ experience in plumbing, electrical, and painting trades, or an equivalent level of education and experience.
Current Driver’s License required.
Physical Requirements of the Position:
Requires a minimum lifting capacity of 50 pounds.
Must be able to bend and lift items of at least 40 pounds overhead for storage.
Must be able to transport equipment and tools weighing up to 10 pounds.
Physical Activity of the Position:
Stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, picking/pinching with fingers, typing, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, repetitive motion.
Environmental Conditions:
Outside: No effective protection from weather; considered “outside” if approximately 75% or more of the time is spent outdoors.
Noise and Vibration: Sufficient noise, either constant or intermittent, to cause distraction or possible injury to hearing; sufficient vibration from repeated motion or shock that may cause bodily harm if endured long-term.
