Position Overview
We are a small, fast-moving oil and gas service company based in Marshall, TX seeking a versatile Field Operations Technician / Administrative Assistant who is comfortable wearing multiple hats. This role supports both field operations and office administration, making it ideal for someone who enjoys a mix of hands-on work and professional office responsibilities.
The right candidate is organized, dependable, and confident communicating with field crews, office staff, customers, and vendors in a fast-paced, field-driven environment. In a small company, every team member contributes across functions, so flexibility, initiative, and a positive attitude are essential.
Key ResponsibilitiesAdministrative & Office Support· Maintain and organize operational records, reports, and documentation.
· Create and update spreadsheets, reports, and presentations using Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
· Assist with invoicing, filing, data entry, document management, and general office administration.
· Track inventory, purchase orders, field tickets, and other operational paperwork.
· Inspect, photograph, and document the condition of leased equipment.
· Coordinate schedules, meetings, deliveries, and communication between office and field personnel.
· Manage phone calls, respond to emails, and interact professionally with customers, vendors, and employees.
· Assist with job tracking, scheduling, and operational reporting.
· Prepare internal presentations, operational summaries, and field updates.
· Support office supply ordering and administrative organization.
Operations & Shop Support· Assist with inventory management and stocking shelves in the shop.
· Receive, verify, sort, and store supplies and equipment deliveries.
· Support warehouse and operational tasks as needed.
· Ensure materials and equipment are properly stored, labeled, and documented.
· Occasionally assist with light physical tasks related to field operations support.
· Help maintain a clean, organized, and efficient office, shop, and yard environment.
Qualifications· Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including the ability to build and maintain spreadsheets and track data accurately.
· Strong Microsoft PowerPoint skills, including the ability to create polished, professional presentations.
· Comfortable using computers, office software, email, and standard business systems.
· Comfortable working both in an office environment and around field operations.
· Willingness to perform light physical work when needed (lifting, stocking, organizing equipment).
· Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
· Professional written and verbal communication skills.
· Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
· Dependable, adaptable, and proactive.
· Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred.
