Position Description:

Are you a licensed clinician who enjoys developing teams, providing clinical guidance, and making a direct impact on patient care?

We’re seeking an Assistant Director of Social Services to support the day-to-day leadership of the Social Services Department. In this role, you’ll help lead a team of social workers and counselors, provide clinical supervision, and contribute directly to high-quality, patient-centered care.

What You’ll Do

  • Support the day-to-day management and clinical oversight of the Social Services Department.
  • Assist with hiring, onboarding, and training new team members.
  • Provide ongoing supervision, coaching, and clinical consultation to social workers and mental health counselors.
  • Evaluate staff performance and support professional development initiatives.
  • Deliver direct clinical services as needed, including case management, psychosocial assessments, and family support.
  • Assist with discharge and aftercare planning to support continuity of care.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated, effective treatment planning.
  • Promote compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and organizational standards.

What We’re Looking For

Education

  • Master’s degree in Social Work or Mental Health Counseling from an accredited program (required)

Experience

  • Experience in a psychiatric or residential treatment setting (preferred)

Licenses & Certifications

  • Licensed or license-eligible in the appropriate clinical discipline (required)
