Qualifications

RS&H is currently seeking an experienced Senior Talent Acquisition (TA) Specialist to support infrastructure engineering recruiting.

As part of the Talent Acquisition (TA) Team, the Senior Recruiter will be responsible for managing the full-cycle hiring process. This includes partnering closely with hiring managers and business leaders to develop and execute effective recruiting strategies, as well as sourcing, screening, and selecting a highly qualified and diverse workforce. This role contributes to key recruiting initiatives and may support projects or programs that enhance recruiting effectiveness.

Location: This position follows an in-office/hybrid model and requires being located within commuting distance to one of our major Central or Western Offices, with strong preference for St. Charles, Denver, Houston, Dallas, Austin or San Antonio.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute recruiting and sourcing strategies for infrastructure and transportation-focused engineering roles, including experienced and hard-to-fill positions
  • Partner with hiring managers and HR to understand hiring needs and support effective recruiting approaches aligned with business priorities
  • Collaborate with the Employer Brand team to support recruiting marketing efforts, including social media and outreach strategies
  • Evaluate candidates’ qualifications and alignment with current and future opportunities
  • Provide a high level of candidate care and consistent communication throughout the hiring process
  • Build and maintain pipelines of qualified candidates through networking, sourcing, and relationship management
  • Communicate hiring progress, market insights, and recruiting activity updates to hiring managers and stakeholders
  • Identify opportunities to improve recruiting processes and contribute to efficiency initiatives
  • Track, analyze, and report on key recruiting metrics (e.g., time to fill, pipeline health, offer acceptance) to support data-informed decision making
  • Support recruiting-related projects or programs, including diversity-focused initiatives

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or four additional years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree)
  • 5+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, preferably within the A/E/C industry, with a focus on infrastructure, specifically transportation-related roles
  • Experience partnering with hiring managers to support hiring decisions and recruiting strategies
  • Knowledge of OFCCP requirements and general employment market trends
  • Ability to manage multiple requisitions and priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and follow-through
  • Experience using applicant tracking systems (iCIMS preferred)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Collaborative, team-oriented approach with a customer-service mindset
  • Demonstrates positive and professional team interaction with colleagues

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience within Architecture/Engineering/Consulting environments

Typical salary range for this position in Chicago/Denver/St. Charles is $82,000 - $127,000 and commensurate with experience relative to the position.
