About This Position

Broadcast System Maintenance Personnel

KeenLogic is seeking a Broadcast System Maintenance Personnel to support one of our government programs. This position provides direct technical and engineering support for the maintenance, repair, and modernization of advanced broadcast communication systems across the White House Complex and the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in broadcast engineering, electronics, and fiber-optic systems within mission-critical environments.

This is a full-time, onsite position based in Washington, D.C., with core hours from 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM (two shifts), Monday–Friday, and additional hours as required. KeenLogic offers Fortune 500-level benefits, including health, dental, and vision insurance, PTO, 401(k), and life insurance.

Required Qualifications

  • Must have a minimum of active interim security clearance and ability to obtain/maintain active TS/SCI clearance.
  • 5+ years of technical or craft experience in electronics, engineering, communications, or a related field that provides a strong technical foundation for maintaining broadcast systems, AV production equipment, and associated internet protocols.

  • 3+ years of experience maintaining a cable head end and distribution system.

  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, repair, and upgrade broadcast, AV, and fiber-optic systems.

  • Experience with AMX and Crestron programming for conference room and AV control systems preferred.

  • Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills in high-security, fast-paced environments.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide maintenance, repair, and technical support for all broadcast systems across the White House Complex and the National Capital Region.

  • Maintain a 100-channel cable television system, 240-channel satellite broadcast system, and HD direct satellite system, ensuring continuous operational readiness.

  • Manage the fiber-optic broadcast distribution network, including design, installation, and preventive maintenance of single-mode transmission paths.

  • Support deployable AV systems used for Presidential and Executive events, ensuring reliability and compliance with operational standards.

  • Conduct quarterly preventative maintenance and system readiness checks for conference rooms and event spaces under WHCA responsibility.

  • Install, program, and troubleshoot AMX and Crestron control systems for broadcast and conference operations.

  • Provide technical oversight and project management for system upgrades, modernization initiatives, and infrastructure improvements.

  • Deliver on-site support for daily operations and emergency maintenance requirements with a two-hour surge response capability, including weekends and Federal Holidays as needed.

  • Serve as a subject matter expert on broadcast signal processing, AV engineering, and digital media infrastructure.

  • Maintain documentation of system maintenance activities and provide detailed reports to government stakeholders.
