SUMMARY

Cleans and sanitizes according to EVS procedures. Performs special cleaning/EVS procedures

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Has demonstrated proficiency in all responsibilities as required by Tech I.
• Understands all waste types and is able to dispose of in correct manner.
• Demonstrates knowledge of different floor types and has ability to scrub, burnish and refinish floors.
• Assists in training of new employees in EVS procedures.
• Hang cubicle and window curtains.
• Utilize paging system and spectra link phones.
• Utilize HEV system  Routinely clean isolation rooms
• Ability to work without constant supervision
• Ability to understand process of UV disinfection and operate UV System.
• Transport patient beds, mattresses and bed extenders as needed to and from rooms. Complete all necessary paperwork for transport.
• Any other duties as deemed necessary by the supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS

HS Diploma or GED equivalent preferred; however, requisite experience in similar role will be considered in lieu of educational requirement when necessary and appropriate. Ability to follow written and oral instructions necessary.
