Description:

HTI is seeking an experienced Injection Molding Machine / Process Specialist (2nd Shift) with a Tier 1 automotive manufacturer in Dallas, NC. This position will focus on supporting production operations through hands-on troubleshooting, process optimization, robotics support, and continuous improvement within the molding department. This is a Direct Hire, Monday–Friday, 2nd shift opportunity. The pay range is $25.00 – $35.00/hour, depending on experience.

What You Need:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Experience with Engel Molding equipment
  • 5+ years of experience as a Process Technician in an injection molding environment
  • Strong knowledge of scientific molding principles and process optimization
  • Experience troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
  • Robot programming and automation experience (Ranger, Wittmann, ABB, Sepro/Fanuc preferred)
  • Experience with automated production equipment and auxiliary molding systems
  • Experience with tooling validation, mold startups, and process documentation
  • Automotive or Tier 1 manufacturing experience preferred

What Your Role Will Look Like:
The Injection Molding Machine / Process Specialist will be responsible for supporting 2nd shift production by maintaining stable molding processes, optimizing cycle times, and ensuring product quality. This role requires a self-motivated technician who can work independently and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor and adjust machine parameters to maintain optimal molding conditions
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot molding issues related to machines, molds, materials, or robotics
  • Perform mold changes, material changes, color changes, and machine startups
  • Establish and validate mold-specific processes to meet quality and cycle time targets
  • Program, adjust, and troubleshoot robotic automation systems
  • Monitor part quality and make process adjustments to correct defects
  • Perform testing on new tooling and process changes to establish optimal parameters
  • Communicate mold and process conditions to tooling, maintenance, and quality teams
  • Perform and document preventive maintenance on molding and auxiliary equipment
  • Assist Quality with audits, investigations, and process-related issues
  • Maintain process documentation and manufacturing records
  • Support continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, and safety initiatives
  • Follow all safety protocols and promote a safety-first mindset
  • Additional duties as needed and assigned
