Job Overview

Patriot Contracting LLC is seeking an experienced Commercial Construction Carpenter / Punch-Out Mechanic to support commercial building projects from rough carpentry through final punch-out. This role is ideal for a skilled tradesman who takes pride in high-quality craftsmanship, job site safety, and completing projects on time and to specification.

Youll play a key role in ensuring that every finish detail meets our companys standards while working both independently and alongside a collaborative field team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine layout and material requirements
  • Install and service commercial doors, frames, and hardware (locks, closers, panic bars, etc.)
  • Perform drywall installation, taping, mudding/finishing, and ACT ceiling installation to a professional standard
  • Install base and upper cabinets and millwork with strong attention to finish quality
  • Perform touch-up painting and final punch list corrections
  • Install toilet accessories and restroom hardware
  • Measure, cut, and shape wood and other materials using hand and power tools
  • Perform rough carpentry tasks including structural wood and metal framing
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe jobsite at all times

Qualifications
  • Minimum 510 years of commercial carpentry experience
  • Strong ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment
  • Strong mathematical skills for precise measurements and calculations
  • OSHA certification preferred
  • High school diploma or GED required (trade school or apprenticeship a plus)
  • Ability to perform physically demanding work and operate in various jobsite conditions
  • Must be able to speak and comprehend English for effective communication and safety compliance
